I need two separate yet comparable EnergyPlus models of a commercial building so I can study how a pair of alternative design strategies influence daylight and whole-building energy use. My focus on daylighting is two-fold: first, how deeply natural light penetrates the occupied zones; second, how each design mitigates daylight glare. On the energy side, I want a clear breakdown of impacts on the heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation loads. Here is the workflow I have in mind: you create (or adapt) the baseline geometry and envelope, duplicate it into an alternative design with the chosen façade or skylight strategy, then set up the daylighting controls, schedules and sensors. After running annual simulations, you will deliver the raw IDF files, output reports and a concise comparison that highlights: • Annual daylight metrics (sDA, UDI or equivalent) that quantify natural-light penetration • Glare indices for representative critical hours and spaces • End-use energy results, clearly isolating heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation I will supply any missing occupancy schedules or weather files once we start. Please keep the file structure clean so I can rerun scenarios myself later.
