I’m re-imagining several storage and showcase areas for a customer and need a designer who can translate my ideas into clear, build-ready plans. The biggest piece is a traditional-style master closet finished in laminate. I already know the wardrobe mix I have to fit (long dresses, folded sweaters, plenty of shoes) and want a balanced look with classic moulding details rather than anything ultra-modern. Efficient use of every inch is essential; the footprint is generous, but I still want it to feel calm and ordered when I walk in. Next is a dedicated home office that doubles as a display gallery for my model trains. A standing desk is non-negotiable, and the surrounding walls should feature adjustable, well-lit shelves that let the trains become the room’s artwork without crowding my work surface. Think practical cable routing, hidden power strips and sight-line harmony when I’m on video calls. In the dining room, one wall will be reserved for Grandma’s woven baskets. They vary in depth and diameter, so I need a custom mounting solution that keeps the arrangement secure yet easily swappable for cleaning. Finally, I have two small reach-in closets that only need straightforward hanging and shelf layouts—nothing fancy, just reliable everyday function. Deliverables I’m expecting: • Dimensioned floor plans and elevations for each space • 3D visuals or realistic renderings so I can sign off on proportion and finish • A concise materials/spec sheet (hardware, lighting, laminate code, paint colours) ready for my contractor • A revision round after I review the first draft If you work comfortably in SketchUp, AutoCAD or similar and enjoy balancing aesthetics with day-to-day practicality, I’d love to see how you would approach this.
