I have a set of hand-drawn sketches for a commercial building and I need them translated into a clean, well-structured FreeCAD architectural model. All geometry must be fully parametric so I can adjust dimensions later without redrawing. The essentials: • Import my sketches, trace the layout, and create walls, slabs, roofs, openings, and core components in the Arch / BIM workbenches. • Organise the model with appropriate levels, groups, and named views so navigation is painless. • Export a PDF set of plans and a DWG/DXF if it can be done loss-free; the primary deliverable remains the .FCStd file. Accuracy is key—I’ll check that dimensions align with the sketches and that each storey, wall thickness, and opening type is editable. If you already use FreeCAD 0.21 or higher and are comfortable working in millimetres, you’ll fit right in.
