I already have a Breakdance-built WordPress template in place for our blog section. What I need now is a duplicate of that layout, adjusted specifically for news articles that come in through Advanced Custom Fields. Here’s the core of the job: • Clone the current Breakdance template so I can keep the original untouched. • Tweak only the existing content areas—headlines, byline, featured image, excerpt, body, and related-story section—so they map neatly to the ACF fields set up for news. • Make sure the modified layout inherits the same styling rules (fonts, spacing, colours) but allows unique elements like “Breaking” labels and optional pull quotes when the ACF field is populated. I’m not looking for a ground-up redesign or new functionality; it’s strictly a refine-what’s-there exercise so editors can publish news articles quickly and consistently. Once you’re done, I should be able to pick “News Article” from the template dropdown, fill in the ACF fields, hit publish and have it look perfect on desktop and mobile.
