Our college is ready to launch an AI-powered helpdesk that understands natural student queries, replies instantly, and shares bite-sized study resources on demand. The core of the project is a conversational chatbot that leverages NLP and machine-learning techniques to: • recognise and answer the most common campus questions (courses, deadlines, campus life, tech support, etc.) with high accuracy • deliver curated study resources in plain-text form—think summaries, key formulas, and quick revision notes injected directly into the chat flow Students will be the primary users, so the tone must remain friendly while precise enough for academic environments. I expect a scalable back-end (Python with frameworks such as Rasa, Dialogflow CX, or a comparable NLP stack) that can be trained on our existing FAQ database and a small corpus of instructor-approved study notes. A lightweight web widget plus a mobile-friendly chat interface will round out the user experience; optional integration with our existing LMS (Moodle) is a bonus. Acceptance criteria 1. Intent accuracy ≥ 85 % on a held-out test set of student queries 2. Response latency < 1 s under normal load 3. Text-resource delivery triggered by keyword or explicit request (“give me notes on thermodynamics”) 4. Admin dashboard for adding new FAQs and study snippets without code changes 5. Deployment guide and clean, well-documented code in a private Git repository If you have built similar educational or customer-service bots and can demonstrate a results-focused approach to NLP fine-tuning, I’m eager to work together and roll this out before next term.
