I’m ready to take two galvanized-steel three-ring binders from concept to shop-ready documentation—both the classic hinged binder and a clam-shell variant—at the same time. What I will supply • The existing specification package that defines size, ring spacing, steel gauge, allowable tolerances and finish. What I need back • A complete mechanical design for each style, built in professional CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent): fully-detailed parts, assemblies, and exploded views. • A locking mechanism integrated into the traditional binder, and reinforced edges plus the same locking solution on the clam-shell model. • Manufacturing drawings with dimensions, material call-outs, bend lines, welding notes and fastener details—clean enough for any metal fabricator to quote without RFI’s. • Native 3D files alongside neutral formats (STEP/IGES) so I can share them freely. • A short animation (≈10–15 s) demonstrating ring actuation, cover opening/closing and overall operation for both styles. MP4 is fine. Acceptance criteria 1. All drawings meet the supplied spec and fit standard US 8.5 × 11 in. paper. 2. Hinges, rings and locks show clear BOM references. 3. Animation smoothly illustrates the user flow with no missing steps. 4. Final review results in two “approved” sets ready to forward directly to fabricators for quotation.
