Extract & Organize Old Text Messages Stored as Emails in Outlook I do not have a physical phone that needs backing up. Years ago, my old Windows Phone automatically synced my SMS text messages to my Microsoft Outlook account. These text messages are currently sitting in a specific subfolder on my Outlook.com web client, formatted as individual emails. I need a freelancer to extract these messages from the Outlook folder, organize them, and deliver them to me in clean, readable format that I can upload to AI tools for analysis. The Task: • Extract: Pull thousands of SMS messages (currently formatted as individual emails) from a specific Outlook subfolder. • Organize by Contact: The messages need to be grouped and sorted by the contact (using the phone number or name in the email metadata) - bonus if I can read them chronologically like a normal chat log. Deliverables: • A zip file containing individual folders for each Contact. • Inside each folder: the messages as readable text (TXT, HTML, or PDF), preferably containing the chronological chat history for that contact. Ideal Skills & Experience: • Email data extraction and scraping (Microsoft Graph API, IMAP, or similar tools). • Scripting (Python, etc.) to automate the parsing of email metadata (sender/recipient) and sorting the output. • Data organization and file management. • Familiarity with Outlook.com / Exchange folder structures.
