We’re looking for a detail-oriented freelancer who understands the ins and outs of Wikipedia content creation and compliance to help us expand verified profiles for organizations, executives, and brands. Role Overview We’re seeking an experienced Wikipedia Page Creation Specialist to research, write, edit, and publish new and existing Wikipedia pages that meet the platform’s strict notability and neutrality standards. The ideal candidate is well-versed in Wikipedia’s editorial guidelines, has proven success getting pages approved, and can work independently with minimal oversight. Responsibilities Research and verify sources to establish notability for subjects. Draft, edit, and format Wikipedia pages in compliance with the platform’s Manual of Style. Submit new pages for review and navigate the approval process. Monitor and update existing pages as needed. Communicate progress, feedback, and results clearly with the project manager. Maintain transparency about revisions and editor interactions. Requirements Proven track record of successfully published Wikipedia pages. Deep understanding of Wikipedia’s notability, sourcing, and conflict-of-interest guidelines. Strong writing and editing skills in a neutral, encyclopedic tone. Ability to cite reliable secondary sources (news outlets, academic publications, etc.). Experience with Wikipedia Talk pages and content moderation is a plus.
