I’m ready to build my first website and want an experienced tutor who can guide me through every step in real time. I’d like to work inside a modern website builder—Wix, WordPress, or Squarespace—so I can learn a visual workflow before diving deeper. Right now I’m leaning toward Wix because of its simple drag-and-drop tools, but I’m open to whichever platform you feel will best match my long-term goals. The site itself will be mostly informational, yet I do need a straightforward e-commerce component that lets me sell a handful of items without complicated inventory rules. Beyond the build, I want to understand why each decision matters: layout fundamentals, responsive behaviour, colour and typography choices, on-page SEO, basic keyword research, meta data, and how to track performance in Google Analytics. We’ll also cover routine maintenance—updates, backups, security checks—so I can keep the site healthy once it’s live. I learn fastest through hands-on practice. My plan is to meet online (Zoom or similar), share screens, and complete mini-tasks together until the entire site is launched. Ideally we’d schedule one or two sessions per week, but I’m flexible if you can propose a different rhythm that keeps momentum. Deliverables I’d like to walk away with: • A fully functioning website—including an information section, blog capability, contact form, and a simple checkout—published under my own domain. • Recorded or written walkthroughs of each session so I can revisit the material whenever needed. • A concise checklist for ongoing SEO and maintenance tasks. If this matches your teaching style, let me know your availability, the platform you recommend starting with, and how many hours you anticipate we’ll need to reach launch day.
