I need a chatbot that plugs directly into our internal warehouse system and runs through a web interface. Its sole focus will be inventory management—specifically sending timely reorder reminders to the team and generating clear inventory reports on demand. The current system already houses all SKU, bin-location and transaction data in a SQL database exposed through REST endpoints, so the bot simply has to consume those APIs rather than rebuild any data layer. A lightweight, secure web front end where staff can type or click requests (“Show me SKUs below reorder point”, “Email today’s restock list”) will be enough; no mobile or desktop port is required right now. Key expectations • Natural-language understanding accurate enough to interpret stock-related queries and alert wording. • Reorder thresholds and notification schedules configurable via a simple admin screen or JSON file. • Inventory reports downloadable as CSV and viewable in-browser. • Clean hand-off documentation (setup steps, environment variables, API map) so my in-house IT team can maintain it. I’m open on stack—Python (FastAPI + Rasa), Node.js (Express + Botpress) or similar are all fine—as long as the final deliverable is containerised (Docker) for quick deployment behind our firewall.
