I have a mechanical part available only as an STL mesh and I need it converted right away into two fully editable CAD formats: a clean STEP file and a native SolidWorks part file. The shape has to come across exactly—no faceted surfaces, no missing detail—so that I can open it in SolidWorks and continue parametric edits without rebuilding everything from scratch. I’m not asking for a redesign; this is a straight, high-fidelity translation. Accuracy is critical because the model will be used downstream for manufacturing documentation, so please keep all critical dimensions true to the source mesh and knit the surfaces into a single solid body. Deliverables (both required): • STEP (.stp/.step) file of the part, watertight and recognized as a solid • SolidWorks (.sldprt) file with feature tree if possible, or at minimum a solid body ready for further edits I’ll supply the STL immediately after the project is awarded and will be responsive for any quick checks you need. If you can turn this around today, let’s get started.
