I need a complete CAD model for a steel electrical enclosure that can achieve an IP-rated seal once fabricated. The design must be fully manufacturable in sheet-metal—think realistic bend radii, reliefs and hardware that a local shop can laser-cut, fold and weld without guesswork. After award I will share the internal component layout, target IP level and any mounting constraints; your task is to translate those into a robust enclosure with gasketed doors, cable-entry knockouts and proper ventilation where allowed by the rating. Hinges, locks and grounding studs should be spec’d using readily available hardware so purchasing is straightforward. Please work in a mainstream 3D package such as SolidWorks, Inventor or Fusion 360 and keep all features editable. Fulls design spec below: General Fabricate an outdoor-rated metal enclosure to house an embedded monitor and PC system. The enclosure will be pole-mounted and front-accessed, designed for weather resistance, dust reduction, and passive airflow with provision for future active cooling. Overall External Dimensions Approximate finished external size: 550 mm (W) × 400 mm (H) × 200 mm (D) Monitor Fit Requirement Monitor external dimensions: 418 mm (W) × 265 mm (H). Enclosure internal usable front area must allow a minimum clearance of 50 mm on all sides around the monitor footprint for mounting structure, airflow, and service access. Front Door Viewing Cut-Out Provide a centred viewing cut-out in the front door sized to allow bezel overlap and retention of the monitor. Recommended viewing cut-out: approximately 390 mm (W) × 240 mm (H). Cut-out corners radiused R3–R5. Provide internal provision for a clamping frame or mounting brackets to secure the monitor behind the door opening. Construction Material: Steel or aluminium suitable for outdoor use. Fabrication method: Folded sheet metal construction. All exposed edges deburred. All external enclosure corners rounded (R10–R15 preferred). Outdoor-grade powder coated finish. Door Front-opening door. Hinged on left side. Right-hand side lockable compression latch that pulls door tightly closed to compress gasket. Door to include flanged perimeter and continuous gasket seal with labyrinth-style overlap for weather resistance. Include threaded lugs to allow optional installation of a door retention cable or stay. Ventilation Passive airflow design. Bottom vent to function as intake. Right side vent to function as exhaust. Both vents filtered and designed to accept 120 mm square PC-style dust filter media (internal filter media only, not relied on for waterproofing). Vent assemblies must include: External slanted or louvred geometry to shed rain. Internal baffle to prevent direct water ingress. Drain path for any water entering vent cavity. Internal slide rails for filter installation from inside the enclosure. M3 threaded hole in one rail to allow an M3 screw to push the filter cassette firmly against the outer wall for secure retention. Design must allow future installation of 120 mm cooling fans at vent locations. Rear Mounting Rear panel to include centred VESA 200 mm × 200 mm mounting pattern. Four clearance holes suitable for M8 bolts. Rear mounting area to be reinforced to support full enclosure weight and resist vibration. Cable Entry Provide rear cable entry opening aligned with VESA centre, sized to allow bundled power and data cabling to pass from pole into enclosure. Cable entry to be compatible with weather sealing and cable gland installation. Rain Protection Include external rear rain shroud or collar to cover the joint between enclosure and pole flange and prevent water running down behind the enclosure. Earthing Provide internal M5 threaded earthing lug located at bottom left internal corner. Safety Provide M6 anchor tab at rear bottom interior for attachment of optional stainless safety arrest cable to pole. Internal Layout Provide sufficient internal space for: Front-mounted monitor. Embedded PC with active cooling. Cable routing and airflow path from bottom intake to side exhaust. Mounting points or internal brackets to secure components. The enclosure must be suitable for outdoor industrial environments exposed to rain, dust, vibration, and incidental impact.
