I’m building two aluminum, modified-V tunnel-hull Jon boats that work as a nesting pair. I retain all proprietary rights to the design • Primary hull: 16’ × 60″, engineered to accept a minimum 200 lb, 25 hp outboard and a combined payload (passengers, gear, motor) of 1,500 lbs. • Secondary hull: 14’ × 48″, identical tunnel profile but dimensioned to slide cleanly inside the 16-footer for transport and storage. Key build notes – All structure in marine-grade aluminum. – Plain aluminum flooring throughout; no non-slip or padded layers needed. – Removable seating only: each seat must lift out without tools and offer an adjustable backrest plus basic cushioning. – Beam on either hull can be tweaked if that helps meet the 1,500 lb capacity target without compromising the nesting clearance. – Maintain tunnel efficiency and shallow-draft handling once fully loaded. Deliverables 1. Full fabrication drawings (profiles, plates, rib spacing, weld symbols, cut list). 2. Weight and buoyancy calculations confirming the stated capacities. 3. Assembly notes for the removable seats—mounting method, adjustment range, and cushion spec. 4. 3-D model files (STEP or SolidWorks preferred) to verify the nesting clearance before cutting begins. I’ll supply final motor and hardware weights once the drawings are underway so trim adjustments can be dialed in before sign-off. Reference photos attached. I like the upswept side profile
