Job Title: 5-Day Sprint: Functional VAWT Assembly with Mechanical Gear Train Motion (SolidWorks 2024) Job Description: I am seeking a highly skilled mechanical designer to develop a 3D assembly of a Vertical-Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) in SolidWorks. The priority of this project is not 1:1 scale accuracy or electrical wiring, but rather mechanical functionality and realistic proportions. Key Technical Requirement: Dynamic Motion The assembly must be fully functional using Mechanical Gear Mates. When the rotor or blades are manually rotated within the SolidWorks environment, the entire internal gear train and the generator shaft must rotate in sync with correct gear ratios. The motion must be smooth, reflecting a real-world turbine's mechanical logic. Scope of Work: Rotor & Blades: Aerodynamically plausible vertical or helical blades. Integrated Gearbox: A complete internal gear train (spur, bevel, or planetary) connecting the main shaft to the generator. Generator: Detailed mechanical housing with an internal rotating shaft. Tower & Support: A robust structure with precise alignment between the tower, bearings, and hub. Project Deliverables: Native SolidWorks Files: Complete .SLDASM master file and all referenced .SLDPRT files. Version Compatibility: Files MUST be created in SolidWorks 2024. Organized Feature Tree: Components and mates must be named logically for future dimension adjustments. Special Views: One Exploded View and one Section View saved in the configuration tree to demonstrate the internal gear interactions. BOM: A basic Bill of Materials generated within the SolidWorks assembly. Timeline & Terms: Deadline: Strict 5-day delivery from the commencement of the project. Progress Update: A screen recording of the "motion test" or a lightweight eDrawings file is required by Day 3 for verification. Final Approval: Payment will be released upon verifying smooth rotation and the absence of mate redundancies.
