I have an existing SolidWorks assembly whose enclosure needs a focused waterproofing upgrade so we can confidently meet IP-67/68. Everything else in the model stays untouched; your task is limited to refining seals, joints, and any related features on the housing so water-ingress tests at 1 m / 30 min are passed without compromising the current internal layout. You will receive the native SLDPRT/SLDASM files along with STEP references. Update o-ring grooves, gasket seats, screw bosses, and vent details as required, keeping draft angles and tooling considerations intact for injection-moulded plastic. No dimensional shifts to PCBs, batteries, or external mounting points are allowed. Deliverables • Revised SolidWorks files (2021 or earlier) and matching STEP exports • A brief design note summarising the sealing strategy, gasket or o-ring specs, and any material or finish recommendations • Confirmation that clearances, drafts, and wall-thicknesses remain mould-ready Acceptance will be based on: 1. Model opens error-free in SolidWorks 2021 2. Updated enclosure passes IP-67/68 criteria in simulation or design review 3. No new clashes or DFM issues introduced Target turnaround: one week from kickoff. If you have proven success waterproofing small electronics enclosures, I’d love to see an example in your reply.
