We are seeking an experienced architectural designer / draftsperson to assist with concept planning, drawing updates, and layout development for a fixed two-storey residential envelope. Existing documentation provided: • Full structural 3D model • Elevations prepared by our steel draftsman • Existing architectural drawings to be updated All work is to be based on these documents. Scope: • Update existing architectural drawings to: • Match revised house dimensions • Relocate the house to the opposite side of the block on the site plan • Add drafting for a water tank and septic system • Two-storey residential building with a fixed external footprint • Upstairs: • Always a self-contained unit • We require both 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom layout options • Downstairs: • Highly flexible and requires multiple logical options, including: • 1-bed + garage • 2 × 1-bed units • Mirrored layout of the upstairs • Single 4-bed layout Key requirement: Internal layouts must make practical sense for living, services, and construction, allowing us to finalise window locations, plumbing stacks, and service coordination early. Deliverables: • Updated architectural drawings reflecting revised dimensions and site layout • Multiple floor plan options for both levels • Clear, build-logical layouts (not just aesthetic concepts) • Optional basic 3D renders once layouts are agreed Ideal background: • Residential planning and drafting experience • Strong understanding of space planning, circulation, and wet-area efficiency • Ability to work within real-world construction constraints This is ongoing work for the right person as the design is refined and reused across future builds.
