Python Voice-Activated Assistant

I’m ready to turn my computer into a Jarvis-style personal assistant built entirely with Python. The assistant’s sole focus is to handle voice commands on desktop or laptop machines—no extra devices, no other programming languages. What I need coded The project must capture spoken requests, understand the intent, perform the requested action locally, and reply with natural-sounding speech. Think “open VS Code”, “read my latest email”, or “what’s the weather?”, all triggered hands-free from my computer. Key technical expectations • Python only, with clean, modular code I can extend. • Reliable speech-to-text and text-to-speech (open-source engines such as Whisper, Vosk, or similar are fine as long as they run locally). • Intent recognition that I can expand via a simple JSON/YAML file. • Runs on Windows 10/11 (macOS compatibility is a plus but not mandatory). Deliverables - Fully runnable Python project with requirements.txt or Pipenv/Poetry file. - Wake-word (“Hey Jarvis”) detection and continuous listening loop. - At least five sample actions (launch app, web search, play music, system info, weather query). - Setup guide plus a brief screen-capture demo showing the assistant responding to voice commands. Acceptance criteria A clean install on a fresh machine completes without errors; the wake-word triggers consistently; sample commands execute with at least 90 % accuracy in a normal indoor environment. If you love crafting voice tech in Python, this should be a fun build. Let’s bring Jarvis to life!
