The front-end is already in motion; what I am missing is a solid, production-ready backend that speaks to it through clean, well-structured APIs. I want this layer written entirely in Python and built with a modern framework you are comfortable with—FastAPI, Flask, Django REST Framework, or a comparable option—as long as it is lightweight, maintainable, and thoroughly documented. Core scope • Design and implement RESTful endpoints that cover all current data interactions required by the front-end (I’ll share the exact contract once we start). • Set up routing, request/response validation, and consistent error handling. • Prepare the project for easy deployment (Docker or a similar containerised approach is ideal) and provide clear README-level instructions so I can spin it up locally or on my cloud host without hand-holding. • Write concise inline docstrings and an auto-generated API specification (OpenAPI/Swagger). I’m not adding authentication yet, but the codebase should be modular enough to plug in JWT or OAuth later. Clean code, type hints, and unit tests covering the critical paths are part of “done.” If you have recent projects demonstrating fast, well-documented Python APIs, that will make evaluation easy.
