Details - Hourly – $50/hr - Up to 10 hrs/week, ongoing (initial 3 months, possible extension) - Fully remote, must be in EU/EEA or Switzerland, CET ±2h Description We’re an early-stage startup building AI-powered tools for European SMEs (mainly in the DACH region). We’re looking for a part-time AI Engineer (LLMs) who can help us design and implement LLM-based features: chat assistants, document Q&A, summarization, and internal search. You’ll work with our small team to: - Build RAG pipelines over customer documents (chunking, embeddings, vector search) - Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI / Anthropic / Azure OpenAI) - Implement Python-based microservices and connect them to our backend (Node.js/TypeScript) - Set up basic evaluation & guardrails Requirements - 3+ years in ML/AI/DS/ML Eng - Strong Python; LLM experience (APIs + LangChain/LlamaIndex or similar); vector DB experience - German B2+ (reading/understanding customer content), English B2+ (team communication) - Able to commit 5–10 hours/week and work mostly asynchronously To apply (on the platform) - Short note about your LLM experience + availability - Link to your profile/CV + GitHub/portfolio - One example of an LLM-based project you’ve built (what it did, your role, tech stack)
