My WordPress site already runs on the NewsMag theme, but the default layouts no longer match the volume of stories I’ll be publishing each week. I need the front page redesigned so it immediately feels like an active news outlet rather than a personal blog. Front-page goals • Prominent Featured stories section for the biggest pieces of the day • Dynamic Top news headlines area that updates automatically as I publish • Clear Category-based news sections so readers can jump straight to Politics, Sports, Culture, etc. On single-article pages I want a clean, professional “newsroom” look that makes room for images, pull quotes, and (later) related-story widgets without clutter. Feel free to suggest whether that’s best achieved with NewsMag’s built-in templates, custom child-theme files, or a lightweight page-builder approach—as long as it stays fast and easy for me to update. Deliverables 1. Customised NewsMag front-page template implementing the three elements above, fully responsive. 2. Updated single-post template styled for long-form news articles and ready for related-story or ad sidebar blocks. 3. Any required CSS/JS and clear notes on where to adjust sections myself in wp-admin. This is a live site, so all work must be done in a staging environment first and then migrated without downtime. If you’ve tuned NewsMag (or similar newspaper themes) before, I’d love to see examples. I have attached a screencap of another news site that is effectively using more of the daily layout elements of the NewsMag theme specifically. It doesn't have to look like this, just shown for example.
