I’m launching “Merged Insights,” a culture-and-society editorial platform, and I need a WordPress pro to turn the concept into a clean, modern, content-first site that feels like a serious publication. What I have in mind The overall aesthetic is minimalist and modern: plenty of white space, strong typography, and uncluttered lines so long-form essays remain the star of every page. A top horizontal menu should make navigation intuitive across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Core pages & components • A distinctive homepage featuring a hero “Featured Articles” spotlight, a recent-posts masonry or card grid, and a prominent newsletter signup that integrates cleanly with Mailchimp (or a comparable service). • Reusable single-post and category templates that prioritise readability, offer clear meta data, and load fast for SEO. • An About page that introduces the publication’s mission with the same design language. Technical expectations The build must sit on WordPress, use best-practice theme development or a well-supported lightweight framework, and score well on Core Web Vitals. Gutenberg compatibility is preferred so I can manage content without touching code. Please structure the back-end so sections like the featured area can be toggled or reordered easily. Delivery & hand-off I’d like the first clickable prototype within two weeks and final tweaks wrapped up inside week four. After launch, a short loom walkthrough or live call showing me how to edit content and menus will complete the project.
