Merchant Center–Shopify Sync Integration Fix

My product data used to flow cleanly from Shopify into Google Merchant Center and on to Google Ads, but something broke and the feeds are no longer syncing. I can still see the old connections in place, yet new products, prices and availability never reach Merchant Center and the Google Ads campaigns are now throwing disapproved-item flags. The immediate goal is to audit and repair the integrations across these properties: • Shopify product feed • Google Merchant Center (primary and supplemental feeds) • Google Ads / Adwords shopping and search campaigns • Facebook Business Manager catalogue (already connected but also showing stale data) • Google Tag Manager, which is installed site-wide but needs a tidy-up so events and conversion tracking fire correctly. Key details you should know – Core issue: Data not syncing. – A GTM container exists; please keep it and adjust rather than rebuilding. – Once the three main platforms are stable I will add two more channels, so build with scalability in mind. Deliverables (acceptance criteria) 1. Products sync in real time from Shopify to Merchant Center with zero disapprovals. 2. Google Ads picks up the refreshed feed and reports active, eligible items. 3. GTM container cleaned: only one GA4 tag, one Google Ads conversion tag, and datalayer events named consistently. 4. Facebook catalogue shows identical inventory and pricing within 30 minutes of changes in Shopify. 5. Written hand-off document outlining the changes made and where to edit settings in future. If you have deep hands-on experience with Shopify feeds, Content API, Google Merchant Center diagnostics, and GTM debugging, I’m ready to give you access so we can get sales flowing again.
