I need a straightforward system that lets my field technicians record each service visit while they’re standing in front of the machine and then lets my office staff—and our clients—pull that record up instantly. Core workflow A tech opens an app on their phone (iOS or Android) or a browser-based form, enters the visit date, serial number and work performed, then saves. From the office we should be able to search by client name, serial number or date range and see the full service history in seconds. On top of that, there will be a public-facing website where a client can type in, for example, “SN-12345” and confirm the last time that unit was serviced. Technical notes • The data will live in a SQL back end—I’m happy with MySQL, PostgreSQL or another mainstream option if you recommend it. • Both a mobile app and a responsive web interface are required so that no matter what device the tech uses, the experience is the same.
