We’re looking for an experienced Mailgun and email deliverability expert to help improve inbox placement for bulk email campaigns. We have already set up Mailgun with a custom domain and DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), but emails are currently landing in spam/junk folders. We need someone who can diagnose the issue and implement a reliable solution to ensure emails reach the inbox consistently. Responsibilities Audit current Mailgun + DNS setup (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Fix domain alignment and authentication issues Improve sender reputation and inbox placement (Gmail, Outlook) Set up proper domain/IP warm-up strategy Optimize email structure and headers for deliverability Recommend best practices for scaling bulk email campaigns Help eliminate spam/junk folder placement Requirements Proven experience with Mailgun (or similar: SendGrid, SES) Strong knowledge of email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX) Experience improving inbox placement for cold/bulk emails Familiar with Gmail and Outlook spam filtering behavior Experience with domain/IP warm-up strategies Ability to debug rejection errors (e.g., 550, spam filtering) Goal Ensure bulk emails (100+ per day) consistently land in inbox instead of spam, while maintaining good sender reputation. Additional Info This can start as a short-term fix but may turn into ongoing collaboration if results are strong.
