Laravel Feature Development & Optimization

I’m kicking off a brand-new Laravel build and want to set it up right from day one. The core of the job is threefold: implement the first round of features, harden the codebase against future bugs, and keep performance fast as we grow. At this early stage there’s no legacy code to untangle, so you’ll have full control over architecture choices—Laravel 10, PHP 8.x, Eloquent ORM, Redis or whatever stack extras you recommend. The initial feature set needs to cover: • Secure, role-based user authentication (email + social logins) • Clean RESTful API integration points so our future mobile app can plug in easily • Advanced, filterable search that remains snappy even with large data sets While building, unit tests and sensible naming conventions are non-negotiable; I’d rather catch edge cases early than chase bugs later. A quick Lighthouse or Blackfire pass at the end of each milestone to confirm performance targets will serve as acceptance criteria. Deliverables are simple: a Git repository with well-documented code, migration files, seeders, and a short read-me that lets me spin the app locally with `docker-compose up`. If something feels unclear, flag it—this is meant to be an open collaboration, not a ticket treadmill.
