We are seeking an experienced iOS developer to build a clinic-ready iPad app that enables clinicians to perform guided 3D scans of prosthetic sockets using the device’s built-in LiDAR (or TrueDepth camera). The goal is a simple, reliable, “plug-and-play” workflow that requires minimal training and works consistently in a clinical environment. Core Workflow The app should guide the user step-by-step using a clean, touchscreen-friendly interface with large buttons: - Splash/start screen - Calibration / setup guidance - Mirror alignment instructions (visual prompts) - Live 3D scan using LiDAR - Automatic processing of the scan - Quick quality check - Data entry form - One-tap secure export/upload The entire process should be intuitive and require no technical expertise from the user. UI / Design Requirements - The interface should look professional and clinic-ready, not like a prototype - Use our company’s logo, colors, and general visual style (we will provide website and assets as reference) - Developer should propose a simple UI design/mockup for approval before implementation - Emphasis on: - Large, clearly labeled buttons - Minimal text input where possible - Clear visual guidance at each step 3D Scanning & Processing - Use iPad LiDAR (preferred) or TrueDepth if needed - Generate a usable 3D mesh (e.g., STL or OBJ format) - On-device tools should allow: - Cropping / trimming the scan - Adding simple annotations (pins or text labels) - Automatic quality check before accepting scan: - Detect obvious holes or incomplete scans - Basic visual confirmation step for the user Patient Data Entry After scanning, the user enters: - Basic patient identifiers (non-sensitive or coded IDs preferred) - Prosthetic measurements - Muscle status / clinical notes - Hip range of motion - Anthropometric data - Free-text notes - Order details Forms should include basic validation and be easy to complete quickly. Data Export (Key Requirement) We are not looking for a complex backend system. Instead, we want a simple, reliable way to receive the data, such as: - Secure upload to our server OR - Encrypted email with attachments OR - Simple API endpoint (if needed) Each submission should include: - 3D scan file - Entered patient/order data - Any annotations Security Requirements Data must be encrypted: - In transit (TLS 1.2+) - At rest on device (AES-256 or equivalent) - No unencrypted sensitive data stored on device - If offline: Data should be stored securely and sent once connection is restored Technical Expectations - Native iOS/iPadOS app (Xcode project) - Compatible with iPadOS 16+ - Use Apple-supported frameworks where possible (e.g., ARKit) - Code should be stable, maintainable, and documented Deliverables - Complete Xcode project - App ready for TestFlight distribution - Functional scanning workflow as described - Basic documentation: - Setup instructions - How data export works - Short video demo showing full workflow (scan → annotate → submit) Definition of Done The project is complete when we can: - Open the app on an iPad - Perform a guided scan - Make basic edits/annotations - Enter clinical data - Tap one button - Successfully receive the scan + data on our end Nice to Have (Optional) - Suggestions for improving scan reliability - Experience with 3D scanning or medical applications - Recommendations for simplifying the workflow further
