Our retail operation spans a central warehouse and several branches, and the health of the entire network depends on clean, up-to-the-minute inventory data. The assignment centers on maintaining end-to-end accuracy within Tally ERP and Excel: recording every inward receipt, outward dispatch, and the live balance so that stock figures in the system always match the floor. Day-to-day you will reconcile purchase receipts with sales orders, flag items that approach minimum levels before they trigger shortages, and prevent over-stocking that ties up capital. Close coordination with the purchase, sales, and logistics teams is essential, as is hands-on oversight of proper storage, labelling, and material-handling practices inside each location. Regular physical audits form part of the rhythm—your counts must stand up to scrutiny and feed directly into ageing and slow-moving stock reports that management reviews. Success in this role typically draws on two to five years of inventory or warehouse management experience, solid attention to detail, and comfort working inside Tally ERP alongside basic Excel reporting.
