Project Title Scrape Grocery Products from Albertsons and Import into WooCommerce with Correct Categories ⸻ Project Description I need an experienced freelancer to scrape grocery product data from Albertsons (or similar supermarket websites) and prepare a clean WooCommerce-ready catalog for my online grocery store. This project includes data scraping + product organization + WooCommerce import preparation. The most important part is not only collecting products, but making sure every product is placed into the correct category structure from the beginning. ⸻ Main Tasks 1. Scrape Product Data from Albertsons (or similar source) Collect product information such as: • Product Name • Brand • Size / Weight • Image URL • Regular Price • Product description (if available) • Department / category from source site ⸻ 2. Map Products into My WooCommerce Category Structure I already have a category system created. Products must be matched to it. Examples of departments: • Fresh • Dairy, Eggs & Cheese • Deli • Bread & Bakery • Meat & Seafood • Pantry • Beverages • Frozen Foods • Cookies, Snacks & Candy • Paper, Cleaning & Home • Personal Care & Health • Pet Care • Baby Care ⸻ 3. Avoid Wrong Keyword Categorization This is extremely important. Do not classify products just because of words in title. Examples of mistakes to avoid: • Tuna in Water → should NOT go to Water • Banana Boat Sunscreen → should NOT go to Fresh Fruits • Chicken Seasoning → should NOT go to Chicken category • Cilantro Dressing → should NOT go to Fresh Herbs • Pineapple Chunks in Can → should NOT go to Fresh Fruits Products must be categorized by: 1. Real product type 2. Retail supermarket placement 3. Packaging / presentation 4. Customer expectation 5. Brand logic ⸻ 4. Prevent Duplicate Categories in WooCommerce Do not create: • duplicate categories • duplicate subcategories • random new categories • broken taxonomy structure Use only my approved category tree. ⸻ 5. Deliverables Final result should include: • Clean CSV file ready for WooCommerce import • Correct category assignments • Images linked correctly • No duplicate categories • Clean structure for future imports ⸻ Preferred Experience Please apply only if you have experience with: • Web scraping • Grocery product catalogs • WooCommerce imports • CSV product feeds • Data cleanup / taxonomy ⸻ Please Include in Proposal 1. What tools you use for scraping 2. Similar scraping/catalog projects completed 3. How you would avoid wrong categorization 4. Estimated timeline 5. Total cost ⸻ Important Note I prefer someone who understands how real supermarkets organize products, not just simple keyword automation.
