I need a complete gearbox designed from initial concept through detailed 3D modelling and validated virtually before we commit anything to metal. Starting from my performance targets (torque, speed range, packaging envelope), you will create the architecture, size every gear pair, select materials, and produce an accurate solid model. Once the model is ready I want the design checked with finite-element and motion studies so we can confirm tooth contact, shaft deflection, bearing loads, and overall efficiency. Thermal behaviour under sustained load is also important; the simulation package you use (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) should let us iterate quickly. Deliverables • Native CAD files plus neutral formats (STEP, IGES) • Complete drawing set with tolerances and surface-finish call-outs • Simulation reports including assumptions, meshes, boundary conditions, results, and commentary • A concise design summary highlighting safety factors and any trade-offs made I will be available to clarify requirements and review intermediate milestones. The project is considered complete once the model and documentation are ready for prototype manufacture and the analysis shows all targets met with acceptable safety margins.
