Fix Akeeba Backup Wizard

After upgrading my site from Joomla 4 to Joomla 5 the Akeeba Backup component stopped opening its Configuration Wizard. I can still access the component itself, but hitting the wizard button does nothing—no progress bar, no detailed PHP error, just a vague console message. I have already tried a few generic fixes (clearing caches, reinstalling the latest Akeeba package, double-checking PHP limits), yet the wizard remains unresponsive. No meaningful error is logged, so I need a Joomla expert who knows Akeeba inside out to trace and eliminate whatever is blocking the wizard on Joomla 5.
