I’m finalising my thesis and need the source data I currently hold in several Excel sheets converted into a single, well-structured Stata (.dta) file. The workbook contains mixed information—some purely numerical variables, others categorical labels—and before the import the dataset needs a careful round of cleaning: duplicate rows removed, consistent coding for categorical fields, clear variable names, and date formats harmonised. I will supply a sample .dta file that shows exactly how I want the finished structure to look, including variable order, value labels, and variable-level notes. If you prefer to script the workflow, feel free to use Stata do-files, Python (pandas), or R, as long as the final deliverable opens flawlessly in Stata 17. Please share a couple of examples of past work that demonstrate you have handled similar Excel-to-Stata transformations or complex data tidying.
