I’m building a location-based augmented-reality tour that will let visitors explore Edinburgh’s past through their phones. To bring the experience to life I need an artist who can deliver photoreal 3D content—complete historical landmarks, surrounding architectural structures and key street environments—optimised for mobile AR. The models must slot straight into the app, so I’ll also rely on you for the AR preparation work: placing informational overlays, setting up interactive walkthrough paths and adding concise 3D animations that reveal how each site evolved over time. Here’s what I’ll look for in your proposal: • A brief outline of your modelling and texturing pipeline (Blender, Maya, Z-Brush, Substance, etc.) and how you handle mobile optimisation (poly budgets, LODs, PBR maps). • Your preferred tools for AR setup (Unity, Unreal, ARKit/ARCore) and any similar location-based projects you’ve shipped. • Indicative timeline and milestone breakdown from scan/data gathering through to final in-app testing. • Your current availability and bandwidth. Deliverables at each milestone will include the finished model (FBX or glTF), clean texture sets, animation files where needed, and a Unity or Unreal scene that demonstrates: 1. Correct real-world scale and alignment. 2. Smooth performance on standard iOS/Android hardware. 3. Functioning overlays, walkthrough triggers and animation cues. If everything above aligns with your expertise, let me know when you’d be free for a short call so we can run through the site list, sharing of reference scans, and any questions you have. I’m happy to adapt the scope to fit a workflow that gets us the most compelling, historically accurate results.
