Key points • Web-based (or embeddable) chat window that visitors can open from any modern browser. • Agent dashboard where multiple operators can pick up, transfer, and end conversations. • Searchable chat history stored in a secure database. • Simple admin panel to add or remove agents and adjust basic settings. • Clean, responsive UI so the experience feels the same on desktop and mobile. I do not need bots or automated replies at this stage; every message will be written by a human agent. Code can be in any widely used stack—Node.js, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, or similar—as long as it is well-documented and easy to host on a standard VPS. Deliverable A working, self-hosted live-chat solution packaged with installation instructions and a short README covering environment variables, database schema, and deployment steps.
