Title Custom Scan-Based Bracket Design (FBX → Manufacturing-Ready STEP/STL) Description I need an experienced CAD designer to produce 2 custom-fit mounting brackets based on real-world scan data. This is a reverse-engineering task, not a generic design. Accuracy and real-world fit are critical. Objective Design two brackets that: Conform to irregular external brick wall contours Accommodate multiple cables exiting a wall vent Provide a flat front face for sealing Allow installation of a ~200mm diameter mesh filter Enable an airtight seal against the wall What I will provide 3x 3D scans (FBX format) covering the vent areas Reference images with approximate dimensions Diagonal reference: ~150mm Photos showing: Cable routing Surface irregularities / damage Installation context What I need delivered For each of the 2 vents: Custom bracket (~1.25 inch / ~32mm thickness) Rear face: Matches wall surface + cable geometry Front face: Flat and suitable for sealing / mounting filter Output files: STEP (mandatory) STL (if 3D printing is used) Native CAD file (SolidWorks / Fusion / etc.) Functional requirements (critical) Must include real-world tolerances for proper fit (scan data is not perfect — allow for install clearance) Must support airtight sealing, including one of: Gasket interface Compression lip Sealant channel Must not compress or damage cables Include proper cable relief / pass-through geometry Must be structurally rigid No flexing or deformation when fixed to wall Must include a proposed fixing method Screw positions / mounting strategy Manufacturing considerations Design must be suitable for: 3D printing or CNC machining (you advise best method) Must include: Appropriate wall thickness Practical geometry for manufacture (no impossible features) Material recommendation required: Outdoor use (UV / temperature exposure) Important notes Source data is FBX (mesh) → You must be able to clean, process, and convert to usable CAD If a different format is required, specify it Accuracy is critical → Poor fit = unusable part Ideal freelancer Proven experience with: Scan → CAD workflows Reverse engineering real-world geometry Designing parts that actually fit and seal Understands: Tolerances Manufacturing constraints Outdoor material behaviour When applying, include Example of similar work (scan → physical part) Software you will use Any concerns with FBX workflow Your recommended manufacturing method Additional note This part will be installed externally and must seal properly. Design decisions should prioritise fit, durability, and sealing performance, not just appearance.
