Applied AI & Automation Engineer (LLM Systems Architect)About the Project We are building an AI-powered operational system for a growing flavor & fragrance manufacturing company. The goal is to integrate AI into real business workflows — not research, but production systems that save time, reduce manual work, and support decision-making. This role is for someone who builds working AI systems, connects them to business software, and ships usable tools. What You Will Build You will design and implement AI-driven systems that support: Intelligent data intake forms (production requests, formula inputs) Automatic generation of production instructions (PDF, structured docs) AI-assisted document creation (spec sheets, MSDS drafts, internal forms) Workflow automation between systems (ERP-style data flow) Conversational AI tools for internal use Structured data extraction from technical documents API integrations between AI services and internal tools Deployment of production-ready AI workflows This is not a research role. You will build tools people actually use daily. Core Responsibilities Architect AI workflows using LLMs Design structured prompt systems (reliable outputs, not chat toys) Build backend services (FastAPI / Python preferred) Create data pipelines between AI and business systems Integrate APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms Develop internal AI tools for operational teams Ensure system reliability, version control, and maintainability Required Skills Experience building production LLM applications Strong Python backend development API integration experience (REST, webhooks, OAuth) Prompt engineering for structured outputs Workflow automation experience Database knowledge (Postgres, Firebase, etc.) Cloud deployment experience (AWS/GCP) Nice to Have Experience with document generation systems Experience with speech-to-text or document parsing Background in manufacturing, ERP, or process automation Startup or product-building experience We Are NOT Looking For Pure ML researchers Academic model trainers Data analysts without product experience Ideal Candidate You have built AI systems that people use daily. You think in systems, not just models. You are comfortable connecting AI to real-world workflows and shipping working products.
