I am modelling a single-segment continuum robot whose backbone is manufactured in polyurethane and ABS. Your task is to set up and run parametric finite-element studies in ANSYS so we can see how the structure curves when one tendon is pulled with forces in the low 1 – 10 N range. For each geometric variant of the backbone I will supply (length, diameter, tendon-channel offset, bakbone type etc.), I need two clear results: • the exact tendon force applied, and • the resulting bend curvature radius of the backbone. Once all variants are simulated, please compare the force-radius trends and point out which configuration gives the most favorable bending performance so I can move forward with an optimal design. Deliverables must include the editable ANSYS project files, any scripts or APDL/Python automations you use, a concise results spreadsheet, and a short written summary with your conclusions(it is well and good if those details are expressed as matrix ). Accuracy of the curvature calculation and reproducibility of the setup will be the main acceptance criteria.
