Payment Terminal Compliance Solution - Android OS Upgrade & Regulatory Requirements Project Overview We are seeking experienced Android developers, payment systems engineers, and embedded systems specialists to help develop a comprehensive solution for payment terminal compliance. This is a high-priority, time-sensitive project . Background Context The regulator has mandated that all payment terminals must comply with new requirements by: Migration to ISO 20022 messaging standard Mandatory geo-tagging with National Central Switch SDK integration Minimum Android 10.0 operating system requirement Dual-frequency GPS capability The Challenge Many of our existing payment terminals are running Android 4.0 to 9.0 and need to be upgraded or assessed for upgrade feasibility to meet the Android 10.0+ requirement. What We Need: Primary Expertise Required 1. Android OS Upgrade Specialists Experience with Android firmware development and customization Knowledge of Android 4.0+ to 10.0+ migration challenges Expertise in embedded Android systems and payment terminals Understanding of hardware compatibility limitations Experience with OTA (Over-The-Air) update systems 2. Payment Terminal Hardware Experts Knowledge of POS terminal architectures (NEXGO, TOPWISE, HORIZONPAY, UROVO, etc.) Experience with terminal firmware modification Understanding of payment terminal certification processes Familiarity with PCI compliance requirements 3. Android Application Developers Android 10+ native development expertise Experience with GPS/location services integration Knowledge of payment application development Expertise in SDK integration and API development Experience with secure payment applications 4. System Integration Engineers ISO 20022 messaging standard implementation Experience with financial messaging systems Knowledge of payment gateway integration Understanding of SWIFT/banking protocols Conclusion: My payment-terminal fleet is scattered across Android versions 4.0 through 9.0 and must now move to a modern, supported release (Android 10 or 11) to stay PCI-compliant. The goal is a seamless in-place upgrade that leaves daily operations untouched. After flashing the new image every unit still has to: – process EMV, mag-stripe, NFC and contactless transactions without a hiccup – keep the existing PIN-entry user interface identical for staff and customers – drive all card-reader peripherals and secure elements exactly as today – maintain wired, Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity with no drops or latency spikes – preserve current security protocols and device hardening = Android 10.0+ minimum OS requirement - Dual-frequency GPS integration - National Central Switch SDK implementation - 10-meter geofencing capability - ISO 20022 messaging compliance - Secure payment processing - Real-time location validation I will provide the present AOSP tree, kernel/BSP, proprietary payment app, test cards and a sandboxed host server. What I need from you is a signed, flash-ready Android 10/11 image plus a concise field-technician upgrade guide and a regression report proving that payment processing, card readers, network connectivity, user interface and security features remain intact. Delivery is accepted once a pilot batch successfully runs our full transaction test suite on the upgraded OS. Experience with AOSP porting, CTS, SE Linux policy tuning and PCI PTS/EMV levels will make this assignment straightforward. Let’s discuss specifics and timelines as soon as you’re ready.
