I am developing a new Android-only social networking application, code-named “Silvia280704”. The goal is to release an MVP that lets users create profiles, follow one another, post text, photos or short videos to a real-time feed, and chat one-to-one. A clean Material Design interface, smooth scrolling feeds, push notifications and basic content moderation tools are all part of the first release. You are free to use either Kotlin or Java, but the final build must target the latest stable Android SDK and run flawlessly from Android 8 onward. Leveraging Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Storage, FCM) is welcome for speed, yet I am open to another scalable backend if you already have a proven alternative. Key considerations • Snappy onboarding with social login (Google, email) • Efficient media upload/compression to keep data use low • Secure user data handling and GDPR-compliant privacy settings • Modular codebase and clear architecture (MVVM or clean architecture preferred) to allow future iOS expansion Deliverables 1. Signed release-ready APK and Play Store–compliant AAB 2. Full source code with README explaining environment setup and build steps 3. API / database schema documentation 4. Short Loom or video walk-through demonstrating major user flows Acceptance criteria: the APK installs without crashes on physical devices, user registration and posting work end-to-end, and a test push notification is received. Once these points are verified, the milestone is complete and we move to polishing features such as dark mode and localized strings.
