I’m ready to extend my existing streaming app (already live on both iOS and Android) with a family-tracking module. The goal is simple: every family member’s location should update in real time and the moment someone arrives at—or leaves—a saved place, everyone else receives a push notification. The current codebases are native Swift and Kotlin, both using Firebase for analytics. I want this new feature written natively as well, wired into our existing login system so users can invite household members, see their live positions on a map, and create unlimited “Places” (home, school, work, etc.). Each place becomes a geofence that triggers the arrival/departure alerts we send through APNs and FCM. Key points I need you to cover: • Continuous, battery-efficient background tracking that keeps working when the app is closed • Real-time map updates for every linked account, not just selected members • Reliable push delivery—even if the device has been idle for hours • Clean, reusable code plus any server-side hooks or Cloud Functions required to process geofence events • A short hand-off guide and updated build for TestFlight and Google Play Internal I’ll test by driving around with two phones; when one phone enters or exits a geofence, the other must receive the alert within a few seconds and the map should refresh automatically.
