I’ve settled on steel as the sole material and want it to weather naturally, so please plan for a rustic, pre-oxidized finish that will continue to patina in the salty air without compromising structural integrity. The footprint is limited to roughly 3 ft × 3 ft at the base, with curves that flare upward and inward. One key requirement is a dedicated selfie moment: an arch or sweeping curve low enough for visitors to stand beneath, framed by the ribs, so the ocean forms the backdrop in photos. For fabrication and approval I’ll need: • Concept sketches that communicate proportion and flow. • A scale 3D model or high-resolution renders showing the sculpture in situ on sand, at sunrise and midday lighting. • Fabrication drawings with steel gauge, weld locations, anchoring details, and surface-treatment notes for the weathered finish. • Installation guidelines addressing coastal wind load and corrosion.
